It increases altitude rapidly, and I got very sick on it myself the first time I went up years ago. One note, please be very careful if you decide to take the Sandia Tram ride. It does seem to make things easier if we take the altitude slowly, like going up to Santa Fe on the Turquoise Trail instead of straight through on I-25, and making lots of stops on the way to look at shops and things.
